I am going to try cleaning it, as a previous one I had cleaned made a difference. Seems if the Maxx is plugged in for a while it will boot to operate normally with only intermittent reeboots. I had high hopes for the Force as it at least booted to diagnostic screen. I recently purchased a Merit Maxx and a Force from an auction. Once you turn it on the screen freezes after about 10 minutes. So do I suspect her outlets or the machine? Or both? Also this has been a thing since I bought it a month ago. I had it in a pool hall and the owner said she tried it in another outlet and it still did not work. Make sure vac is getting inside the game outlet, line cord and check the main fuse. One of them involved a jumper wire on the power supply to assist in resetting when powered on. There were some TSB's for the ion Series.

Remove the first layer of black tape around the edge of the glass. This time, touch slightly away from the dot, in the SAME direction and approximate distance which the dot was off center see Figures 3a and 3b. To compensate if the screen is not calibrated accurately, return to the calibration screen. Touch the approximate location where the first dot appeared. Go back to calibrate mode, but this time touch exactly on the center of the calibration dots, to more accurately calibrate the screen see Figures 2a and 2b.
